Public prosecutors yesterday indicted another 10 protest leaders for their alleged role in the occupation of two Bangkok airports in 2008.

They were the sixth group of suspects arraigned in Criminal Court over the seizures of Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports, joining 83 defendants including Chamlong Srimuang and Sondhi Limthongkul, co-leaders of the People's Alliance for Democracy.

Among those charged and released on bail yesterday were General Pathompong Kesornsuk, a former adviser to the Supreme Command; former foreign minister Kasit Piromya; multi-coloured shirt leader Tul Sitthisomwong; academic Pramote Nakhonthap; and former ambassador Surapong Chaiyanam.

A plea hearing has been scheduled for April 29.
